Annie, 2Baba’s wife, turned a year older on Sunday, November 13, and the singer took to his Instagram page to celebrate her.
The African Queen crooner shared a photo of his wife and wished her a happy birthday in a terse post, which many social media users opined was not befitting.
“Birthday Blessings my Queen. Nothing do u.” 2Baba captioned Annie’s photo.
Reacting, a Nigerian lady simply identified as Chiamaka on Twitter, noted that if she had been in Annie’s position, she would have taken offense in 2Baba’s post.
“If my husband wishes me happy birthday like this we will have problems ”, she wrote.
The lady’s comment further stirred varying reactions on the microblogging platform. While some saw nothing wrong in the post, others stated that the singer should have penned a more endearing message to his wife. Read some comments as you scroll.

You don’t need social media validation. The way 2baba wished Annie on IG shouldn’t generate this much noise.”
