Another blow has hit the Christian family as another Nigerian clergyman and founder of Redemption Ministries Worldwide, Rev. Stephen Akinola has died.
According to a report by BBC Pidgin, the Port-Harcourt-based preacher passed on, on Sunday, June 6 at a hospital in Abuja that is yet to be disclosed after battling an illness.
The cause of his death has not been revealed but sources say he was admitted at the hospital to undergo a kidney transplant surgery.
However, the former Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the former Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Rivers State, Apostle Eugene Ogu confirmed the news of his Rev. Stephen Akinola’s death on Sunday.

It was gathered that Rev. Akinola who died at the age of 68 was born in Tamale in the northern part of Ghana and is native of Igboho in Oyo State.
The announcement of Rev. Stephen Akinola’s death comes after news of popular televangelist, Prophet TB Joshua’s death broke hearts in Nigeria and beyond as he was reported to have died on Saturday, June 5 after he had held a service on the same day.
